Yes! We offer a full-ride tuition scholarship to our academy if you were discharged with a Honorable or Under Honorable Conditions. This has now been extended to a Veteran spouse and dependent as well!
If you meet the eligibility requirements for the Swift Academy Veteran's Scholarship, yes! A spouse or a dependent may take advantage of this offering.
You will not be paid during your time at the Academy. We do offer a full tuition scholarship to Veterans, so you would be attending at no cost to you! You will need money for small expenses during school, and a recruiter can outline that for you!
A copy of Member #4 DD214 that has type of discharge will be required by Swift. For the National Guard, we will need a copy of your NGB-22. For Active Reserves or National Guard, we would need a copy of your current LES.
Your Military tractor trailer experience is valued by Swift. We will verify what you've earned while serving, and depending on how much we can verify, you may or may not need to go out with a mentor.
Swift will ensure you are still able to fulfill these duties, and not have to use your time off days while doing so. We follow the Federal Law and Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) you will be placed on Leave of Absence.
Yes! You can bring your service animal while training with a mentor, and when you are released solo. Talk to your recruiter about how to submit proper documentation.
Yes! We have a dog policy. Main requirements include: must be under 40 pounds, non-aggressive and have proof of proper vaccinations. A recruiter can give you additional details.
